"First, the hotel is beautiful and in a great location for walking around seeing the sites. The Swamp Fox restaurant food was some of the best we had during the trip and the staff there went above and beyond for our entire meal. I only took one star down for the hotel in general because the bathrooms are almost impossibly small for an average size person, and my husband is a big guy. "Very well appointed, clean, well staffed historical property right in the heart of the historic district. Extremely close to worthwhile horse drawn carriage rides and shopping galore at the famed city market and small street side shops. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, plentiful and fresh! The staff were so friendly for breakfast and afternoon cheeses & wine, also complimentary! Valet service went beyond plus the bicycle taxis were also readily available and reasonable."

"Comfy beds, great breakfast, 24 hour warm drinks and super helpful staff made this a great stay. Near the freeway, but quiet too! only thing I would change would be to have the pool open earlier. 9am opening time doesn't allow for a morning swim before heading out for the day."
