"My husband and I stayed here for a quick overnight. Location was perfect and loved the happy hour and free breakfast. Rooms were great mix of historical and modern. Very comfy bed. Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner (hairs in bathtub and on walls), but was suitable for one night. Would recommend."
"The staff at the Restoration were extremely helpful and friendly. They made our stay enjoyable. The breakfast basket each morning was very nice and a great way to start the day. When we got back home, I hope to open our front door and it’s see a basket! Lol. A great service provided was the Jeep, which shuttled us around to the farthest places we went without actually having to get an Uber and allowed us to walk only half as much as we would have had to. The drivers were outstanding and very friendly. The service staff who cleaned our rooms were very friendly and did a great job. The rooftop bar called the watch was a great place to view the city and get a good meal. The only negative we experienced was some maintenance and upkeep in our room. Lighting in the bathroom was dim because half the lights did not function. Also the towel racks were dangling from the walls. The showerhead probably could use replacement because the mineral buildup prevented a complete flow. Overall, we enjoyed our experience very much and would recommend this very large room that we had which was about 800 ft.², to anyone looking for a weeklong stay like we had."
"An exquisite boutique hotel in the French Quarter of Charleston. We enjoyed the daily staff attention to the little details that make a stay special that included fresh baked goodies and champagne as well as some brandy from time to time in the lobby. The art walk was a great experience as well as the roof top bar. Everyone on staff was there to help."
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Charleston Riverview
6/10 Okay
"The place looked old and worn. The room was clean, the staff was pleasant. But having a room that faced the boatyard with a stack of boats racked up like groceries out of the window, and forklifts beeping until all hours of the night wasn't very pleasant.
Also, the hotel isn't within walking distance of anything. I arrive just after lunch very hungry. And the only restaurant with a walking distance opened at four o'clock"
