"Staff are the nicest people, but the property could use some tlc esp considering its more expensive then other hotels in location... just was run down and grungy."

"The Oakdale Inn is our favorite place to stay while in southern Virginia. The Inn is wonderful, the rooms comfortable, the breakfast is very enjoyable, and the location is very convenient to anything that you're doing in the area. The Innkeeper (Erin) is a fantastic and helpful aspect of your experience, too. Highly recommended!!"

"The bed was very uncomfortable and the ac (which I had to trouble shoot to get it working) was so loud we had to turn the tv up so much it probably disturbed the neighbors. The tv flickered on and off. Pool was closed in mid May. We are not picky folks by any means but Hampton Inns have historically been a lot better stays."

"The floor was sticky. It was a smoking room that never smelled like smoke. So much air freshener was used we had to open door. There wasn’t a hairdryer in the bathroom but there was a bottle opener on the door frame. The side of the bed near the wall made a noise every time you moved."
