Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you prepare well enough. We've compiled a list of handy hints that will get your Ahuano holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's simple --- first, put in your passport, travel docs, bank cards and daily medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling novel and a phone crammed with your favourite shows are some great options. If you hope to catch more than just forty winks, a quality neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll arrive at your destination feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and strong acids, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your goal here is to feel as comfortable as possible. Don layers of natural-fibre clothing and remember to bring a cardigan just in case you get chilly. Opt for a pair of flat, slightly roomy shoes as your feet may swell a little during the flight. Leave the high heels and heavy hiking boots in your checked luggage.
- Unfortunately, a risk of flying long-haul is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity. To avoid this, take every opportunity to walk around and give your legs a stretch. Compression tights and socks are also a great idea to help reduce this risk.
