Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well organised. We've made a list of handy travel tips that will help get your Ayampe holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a stress-free experience if you bring the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh change of clothes and a few magazines. Secondly, make room in your bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any vital medications and maybe a proper neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, remember to take your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a pocket knife hiding in one of the zippers of your hand luggage. Other banned items include explosive or flammable goods, such as fuel and fireworks, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your number one priority is to make yourself as comfortable as you can. Layer up in natural fibers and don't forget to pack a pullover in case it gets cool in the cabin. Go for a pair of well-fitting, flat shoes as your feet may swell during the journey. Leave the high heels and chunky boots in your main luggage.
- Unfortunately, one risk of long flights is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity. To avoid this, make the most of every opportunity to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs. Compression socks and tights are another great idea to help reduce this risk.
