If you're not prepared, air travel can be challenging. But there's no need to worry. Follow these useful tips and enjoy a pain-free start to your holiday in Beidou. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's simple — first, pack in your passport, important documents, wallet and daily medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy book and a phone crammed with your favourite shows are some wonderful options. If you hope to catch a few z's, a comfy neck pillow and some noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some deodorant to ensure you arrive feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and matches, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should always be your prime concern when selecting what to wear on your flight. Consider your choice of footwear carefully too, as swollen ankles and feet are a common side effect of flying. Roomy, closed-toed shoes are your best bet.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long flights is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To prevent this from happening, make the most of every opportunity to wander around the cabin. Compression tights and socks are also a great idea to help lower your risk.
