We've pulled together all the info you need to make your journey an enjoyable experience. Follow our tips and you'll be cruising through airport security and seeing the best of Blue Bay before you know it.What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a stress-free experience if you've got all the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare set of clothes and a few magazines. Next, find room in your hand luggage for your electronic gadgets, chargers, medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to take your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and matches, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and bring a cardigan as it tends to get cool in the cabin on long-haul flights. Slightly roomy, flat shoes are also a good choice.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long flights is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity. To prevent this from happening, take every opportunity to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs. Compression socks and tights are another simple way to help minimize this risk.
