If you're poorly prepared, travelling can be challenging. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these useful tips for a stress-free start to your time in Cargese. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a stress-free experience if you've got all the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and something to read. Secondly, leave space in your bag for your laptop, a charger, any vital medications and maybe a cosy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to take your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and fuels, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Dress in comfortable layers and pick shoes that are enclosed, flat and easy to slip on and off.
- The result of lengthy periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect passengers during long flights. Reduce the risks by staying hydrated, keeping your ankles and legs moving and wearing compression socks or tights.
