Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you prepare well enough. We've put together a list of handy tips and tricks that will help get your Cereté escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's easy — first, pack your passport, official ID, wallet and medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling novel and a laptop crammed with your favourite movies are always good options. If you hope to take a quick nap, a quality neck pillow and some earplugs will also be useful. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some facial wipes to ensure you arrive looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a sharp object hiding in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable substances, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Opt for flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to bring a jacket in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
