- Flying can be a cruisy experience if you carry the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletries, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and a good read. Secondly, find room in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, your important medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a sharp object lurking in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive products, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your top priority when choosing what to wear during your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a sensible choice, as are flat, closed-toe shoes.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To lower your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks and move your legs and feet often.
