If you're not prepared, airports and flying can be testing. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these handy hints and enjoy a pain-free start to your holiday in Chino. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a pleasure if you've got all the right things. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean set of clothes and a good novel. Next, find a spot in your bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your important medications and perhaps a neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have sharp or pointed objects hiding in one of the compartments of your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable products, such as fuel and fireworks, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Go for comfort over style. Prepare for changes in temperature by wearing layers, and pick flat, closed-toe footwear like slip-ons.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
