We've pulled together all the info you need to make your journey an enjoyable experience. Follow our tips and you'll be zooming through the airport and exploring Dahlonega before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be easy if you bring the right gear. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a fresh set of clothes and something to read. Next, find a spot in your hand luggage for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your important medications and maybe a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, remember to take your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fuels, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Opt for flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to take a jacket in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
