Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to English Harbour could be a piece of cake or it could go on forever. We've put together some useful tips that will help you start your unforgettable escape on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a stress-free experience if you carry the right stuff. First of all you'll need basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean set of clothes and a good novel. Next, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your phone and charger, any medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fireworks, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your top priority is to be as comfortable as you can. Opt for easy-to-remove footwear, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to bring a sweater in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
