Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Florence could be completely stress-free or it could go on forever. We've put together some useful hints that will help you start your next unforgettable escape on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, put in your passport, important documents, cash and vital medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling book and a phone crammed with your favourite shows are always good options. If you plan to take a short nap, a quality neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, find room for a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll arrive looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and gasoline, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your number one priority when deciding what to wear during your flight. Loose clothing is a sensible choice, as are roomy, closed-toe shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Wander around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
