Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well. We've made a list of handy travel tips that will get your Gosh escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a great experience if you carry the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh change of clothes and a few magazines. Secondly, leave space in your bag for your laptop, a charger, medications and perhaps a neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to take your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have sharp objects (like a knife or scissors) lurking in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable products, like aerosols and matches, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Go for comfort over style. Prepare for temperature changes by layering up, and wear flat, easy-to-remove shoes like slip-ons.
- The result of prolonged periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect some passengers on long-distance flights. Reduce the risks by staying hydrated, keeping your ankles and legs moving and wearing compression tights or socks.
