Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Gospic could be a piece of cake or it could drag on forever. Below are some useful travel tips that will help you start your next great escape on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a pleasure if you carry the right gear. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a clean set of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, make room in your bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, your important medications and perhaps a proper neck pillow as well. Lastly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and poisons, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your top priority when deciding what to wear on board. Loose clothing is a sensible option, as are flat, slightly roomy shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
