Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Hampstead could be as easy as pie or it could drag on forever. We've compiled some useful tips that will help you start your unforgettable escape on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a pleasure if you pack the right things. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare change of clothes and a magazine or two. Secondly, find a spot in your hand luggage for your mobile phone, a charger, any daily medications and perhaps a proper neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and fireworks, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Choose comfort over style. Prepare for changes in temperature by layering up, and wear closed-toe, flat shoes like sneakers.
- You're probably aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To lower your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks and keep your legs and feet moving.
