Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've planned ahead. We've compiled a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Jaén holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a comfortable experience if you've got all the right gear. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean pair of socks and a few magazines. Secondly, find room in your carry-on bag for your laptop, a charger, your medications and maybe a neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a Swiss Army knife lurking in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other banned items include explosive or flammable substances, such as bleach and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft aren't the place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and go for shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to pull on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
