Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well. We've made a list of handy tips that will get your Jalandhar holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a great experience if you take the right things. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare set of clothes and a few magazines. Next, make room in your bag for your laptop, a charger, your medications and perhaps a cosy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to take your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and gasoline, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main priority when choosing what to wear on your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a wise option, as are flat, slip-on shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
