If you're poorly prepared, airports and flying can be tough. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these useful tips and enjoy a pain-free start to your getaway in Jerash. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a stress-free experience if you pack the right gear. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare pair of socks and something to read. Secondly, find room in your carry-on bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your medications and perhaps a cosy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fireworks, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to be as comfortable as you can. Pick flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to take a jacket in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- Most of us have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To lower your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression tights or socks and keep your legs and feet moving.
