Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Jinotepe could be a breeze or it could go on forever. We've pulled together some useful hints that will help you start your next big adventure on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a great experience if you take the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare pair of socks and a good novel. Secondly, leave space in your bag for your laptop, a charger, your important medications and perhaps a cosy neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) lurking in your carry-on luggage. Other banned items include explosive or flammable substances, such as fuel and fireworks, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your top priority when choosing what to wear on board. Loose clothing is a sensible choice, as are flat, slip-on shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
