Wherever you're coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you're well prepared. We've put together a list of handy travel tips that will help get your Kawasaki holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a cruisy experience if you pack the right gear. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare pair of socks and a few magazines. Next, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your mobile phone, a charger, your important medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fuels, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your top priority when deciding what to wear on board. Loose clothing is a sensible option, as are roomy, closed-toe shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
