We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey as enjoyable as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be speeding through airport security and enjoying Kumanovo before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a comfortable experience if you carry the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and a good read. Next, leave space in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, your important medications and maybe a cosy neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and poisons, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfortable clothing and opt for shoes that are flat and easy to slip on and off.
- Most travellers have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of inactivity. To lower your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression socks and move your lower limbs often.
