We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and you'll be zooming through the airport and discovering La Grande Princesse before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be easy if you take the right things. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare pair of socks and a few magazines. Next, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your laptop, a charger, any medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a sharp object lurking in the bottom of your carry-on luggage. Other restricted items include explosive or flammable substances, such as fuel and fireworks, and liquids and gels in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and choose shoes that are roomy, flat and easy to take on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
