If you're not prepared, air travel can be challenging. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these helpful hints for a hassle-free start to your time in Lapu-Lapu. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a cruisy experience if you pack the right things. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare pair of socks and a good read. Secondly, make room in your carry-on bag for your phone and charger, any medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a pocket knife hiding in your carry-on luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive substances, like aerosols and matches, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your top priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Pick flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to bring a sweater in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
