If you're not prepared, travelling can be tough. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these helpful hints and enjoy a hassle-free start to your getaway in Little Cayman. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be easy if you pack the right things. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare set of clothes and something to read. Next, leave space in your bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow as well. Lastly, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and poisons, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main aim is to be as comfortable as possible. Go for flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural-fibre clothing and remember to take a pullover in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- You're probably aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To minimize your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression tights or socks and do gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat.
