If you're poorly prepared, air travel can be tough. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these useful tips for a stress-free start to your getaway in Little Trunk Bay. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a comfortable experience if you pack the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and a good novel. Secondly, find a spot in your hand luggage for your laptop, a charger, any vital medications and maybe a neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to take your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) hiding in the bottom of your carry-on luggage. Other restricted items include explosive or flammable substances, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- You'll want to choose comfort over style. Prepare for changes in temperature by wearing layers, and pick flat, closed-toe shoes like sneakers.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
