Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you're prepared. Check out these handy tips that will get your Luxembourg City holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, pack in your passport, travel documents, credit cards and medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling book and a phone filled with your favourite movies are some wonderful options. If you intend to take a quick nap, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll touchdown feeling fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your top priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Opt for easy-to-remove footwear, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to take a pullover in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
