Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you prepare well enough. Check out these handy tips and tricks that will get your Mlade Buky holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a cruisy experience if you carry the right gear. First things first, you'll need basic toiletries, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh change of clothes and something to read. Secondly, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and fireworks, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfortable clothing and pick shoes that are enclosed, flat and easy to slip on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
