We've pulled together all the info you need to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our insider tips and you'll be cruising through the airport and having a ball in Phnom Penh in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a great experience if you've got all the right stuff. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean pair of socks and a good book. Secondly, leave space in your bag for your phone and charger, any vital medications and perhaps a neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to take your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have sharp objects (like a knife or scissors) hiding in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other banned items include explosive or flammable products, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main concern when choosing what to wear during your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a sensible choice, as are flat, slip-on shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
