Wherever you're coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've planned ahead. We've made a list of handy tips that will help get your Ramnas holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a stress-free experience if you take the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and a good read. Next, leave space in your bag for your mobile phone, a charger, any daily medications and maybe a neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and gasoline, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and pick shoes that are roomy, flat and easy to slip on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
