Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Rehoboth Beach could be a piece of cake or it could drag on forever. We've compiled some tips that will help you start your next big adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's easy — first, pack your passport, official ID, bank cards and vital medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling novel and a laptop crammed with your favourite movies are some terrific options. If you intend to catch forty winks, a neck pillow and some noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, make room for a few toiletry items so you'll touchdown looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and poisons, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Dress in comfortable layers and opt for shoes that are flat, roomy and easy to remove.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
