We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey as stress-free as possible. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be breezing through the airport and enjoying Sigsig before you know it.What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a comfortable experience if you've got all the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a fresh change of clothes and a good novel. Secondly, leave space in your hand luggage for your laptop, a charger, your medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to take your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and fuels, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The long, narrow aisles of your aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Wear comfortable clothes and remember to take a cardigan as it can get quite cool inside the cabin during longer flights. Flat, enclosed shoes are always a good choice too.
- A serious condition called deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation. Doing foot and leg exercises in your seat is a great way to prevent this from occurring. Wearing a high-quality pair of compression socks or tights also helps reduce the risk.
