If you're poorly prepared, air travel can be challenging. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these handy hints and enjoy a stress-free start to your time in Sikhio. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a comfortable experience if you carry the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and a good book. Secondly, find a spot in your bag for your phone and charger, your medications and maybe a proper neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp or pointed objects hiding in your hand luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive substances, such as fuel and fireworks, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Wear comfortable clothes and remember to bring a sweater as the temperature can drop in the cabin on long-haul flights. Enclosed, flat shoes are also a good idea.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long-distance travel is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity. To avoid this, take every opportunity to stretch your legs and walk around the cabin. Compression socks and tights are also a great idea to help minimize this risk.
