Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've planned ahead. We've made a list of handy tips that will get your Sikhoraphum escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be easy if you bring the right stuff. First of all you'll need toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh change of clothes and a few magazines. Secondly, leave space in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, your important medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, remember to take your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and matches, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and go for shoes that are roomy, flat and easy to pull on and off.
- Most of us have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of sitting. To lower your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression socks and move your lower limbs often.
