Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you're well organised. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will help get your Sornas holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a comfortable experience if you carry the right things. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a spare pair of socks and a few magazines. Next, make room in your bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, any vital medications and maybe a proper neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and matches, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your number one priority when deciding what to wear on your flight. Loose clothing is a wise option, as are flat, closed-toe shoes.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To reduce your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression socks or tights and move your legs and feet often.
