If you're not prepared, airports and flying can be a real challenge. But there's no need to panic. Follow these helpful hints for a stress-free start to your holiday in Spielberg. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a comfortable experience if you carry the right things. First of all you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare pair of socks and something to read. Next, make room in your carry-on bag for your electronic devices, chargers, your important medications and maybe a quality neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to take your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have sharp or pointed objects lurking in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive goods, such as bleach and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your number one priority is to make yourself as comfortable as you can. Layer up in breathable clothing and remember to bring a jacket in case you get cold. Opt for a pair of flat, well-fitting shoes as it's possible that your feet and ankles will swell a little during the journey. Leave the high heels and chunky boots in your luggage.
- Unfortunately, one risk of long-distance travel is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity. To avoid this, make the most of every opportunity to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs. Compression socks and tights are another great idea to help reduce this risk.
