If you're poorly prepared, airports and flying can be a real challenge. But there's no need to worry. Follow these handy hints and enjoy a trouble-free start to your getaway in Tak. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a stress-free experience if you carry the right stuff. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletries, such as lip balm and hand cream, a spare set of clothes and a magazine or two. Secondly, leave space in your bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, your medications and perhaps a cosy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of banned items can differ between air carriers, the general rule of thumb is avoid carrying anything sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes things like screwdrivers, knives, fuels and bleaching agents. Sporting equipment like bows and arrows, and objects that could injure passengers, such as firearms and swords, aren't allowed in the cabin either.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your priority when choosing what to wear on your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a sensible option, as are flat, closed-toe shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
