Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Tampere could be a piece of cake or it could go on forever. We've put together some useful travel tips that will help you start your unforgettable escape on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be easy if you've got all the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a clean pair of socks and a magazine or two. Secondly, leave space in your hand luggage for your mobile phone, a charger, any medications and maybe a neck pillow as well. Lastly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and fuels, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Go for a pair of flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural-fibre clothing and don't forget to take a pullover in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
