We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our insider tips and you'll be breezing through airport security and enjoying Taulabe in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a comfortable experience if you pack the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare pair of socks and a few magazines. Secondly, leave space in your bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any medications and maybe a quality neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to take your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and strong acids, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your number one priority when choosing what to wear during your flight. Loose clothing is a sensible choice, as are flat, slightly roomy shoes.
- Most travellers have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To reduce your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks and keep your feet and legs moving.
