Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're prepared. We've compiled a list of essential travel tips that will get your Teno holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a great experience if you pack the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a spare pair of socks and a good read. Secondly, leave space in your carry-on bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, your medications and maybe a proper neck pillow as well. Lastly, remember to take your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have sharp or pointed objects hiding in the bottom of your carry-on luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive substances, such as bleach and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Dress in comfortable layers and opt for shoes that are roomy, flat and easy to remove.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
