We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey as pain-free as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be zooming through airport security and enjoying Ternopil in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a comfortable experience if you bring the right gear. First things first, you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a spare pair of socks and a magazine or two. Next, make room in your bag for your phone and charger, your important medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have sharp or pointed objects hiding in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable goods, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Choose comfort over style. Prepare for temperature changes in the cabin by layering up, and pick flat, easy-to-remove shoes like slip-ons.
- You're probably aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To reduce your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks and keep your feet and legs moving.
