If you're not prepared, travelling can be testing. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these handy hints and enjoy a pain-free start to your time in Torrevieja. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a stress-free experience if you bring the right gear. First of all you'll need basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare change of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, make room in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, any daily medications and maybe a cosy neck pillow too. Lastly, remember to bring your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a pocket knife lurking in your carry-on luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive substances, such as bleach and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft aren't the place for a fashion parade. Dress in comfortable layers and opt for shoes that are flat and easy to take on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
