If you're poorly prepared, air travel can be testing. But there's no need to panic. Follow these tips and tricks and enjoy a pain-free start to your holiday in Troitsko-Pechorsk. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's easy — first, pack your passport, official ID, wallet and daily medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy novel and a laptop filled with your favourite shows are some terrific options. If you plan to catch a few z's, a quality neck pillow and some earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll hop off the plane looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and matches, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and pick shoes that are flat and easy to remove.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
