If you're poorly prepared, air travel can be tough. But there's no need to panic. Follow these tips and tricks for a trouble-free start to your holiday in Uralsk. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a comfortable experience if you carry the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a good read. Secondly, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your laptop, a charger, your important medications and maybe a proper neck pillow as well. Lastly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Go for comfort over style. Prepare for changes in temperature by layering up, and wear flat, enclosed footwear like slip-ons.
- You're probably aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of sitting. To reduce your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression tights or socks and do gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat.
