Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Villa could be a breeze or it could go on forever. We've rounded up some useful hints that will help you start your next unforgettable escape on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a great experience if you've got all the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare change of clothes and a good book. Secondly, make room in your bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, any medications and maybe a cosy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fuels, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to be as comfortable as possible. Choose flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to bring a jacket in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
