Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you're prepared. We've made a list of handy tips that will get your Vinnytsia holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be easy if you pack the right stuff. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare pair of socks and a good read. Secondly, leave space in your hand luggage for your laptop, a charger, any vital medications and perhaps a proper neck pillow too. Lastly, be sure to take your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of prohibited items can differ between airlines, the general rule of thumb is avoid carrying anything sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes things like screwdrivers, blades, fireworks and fuel. Sporting equipment like ski poles, and objects that could injure passengers, such as swords and batons, aren't allowed in the cabin either.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your goal here is to be as comfortable as you can. Choose shoes that are easy to slip on and off, dress in loose, natural-fibre clothing and remember to take a pullover in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
