Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you've planned ahead. We've put together a list of essential travel tips that will help get your Zao holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, pack in your passport, official ID, cash and daily medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling book and a laptop filled with your favourite shows are some wonderful options. If you hope to take a quick nap, a quality neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll arrive feeling fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have sharp objects (like a knife or scissors) hiding in one of the compartments of your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive products, such as bleach and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main concern when choosing what to wear on your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a wise option, as are roomy, closed-toe shoes.
- Most travellers are aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of sitting. To lower your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression tights or socks and keep your legs and feet moving.
