"The hotel rooms are in need of serious attention they are old and shabby far too hot in summer no air con or even electric fan in room. The fire doors are extremely noisy and slam shut and you can hear people talking and using the toilet in other rooms. Have stayed here on several occasions as it is one of the few places in Yeovil that is central and has parking leaving very few other options which is why I believe Greene King won`t spend any money on the Hotel and upgrade as there is no competition. Staff are pleasant enough and helpful, food is not so great I recently ordered food that was advertised as "skin on fries" they were cheap frozen skinny fries and the chicken tenders were anything but they were fried to death so i`m not impressed. The beer garden whilst nice needs the grassed area levelling as myself and a couple of others hurt ankles falling down "holes"."

"Well located with free parking so didn't need to use the car at all during our stay. Everything we wanted to do and see was within walking distance. The place needs refurbishment throughout the stairways and in particular, the bathroom of room 10"

"We LOVED this hotel. Easy parking on a weekend, lovely courtyard room big enough for myself and 3 friends walking the SW coast path. Nice easy check in procedure and SUCH a delicious breakfast. It felt very premium, but for a good value price. It was perfect for us, this was a one night stop en route on the coast path for us, but we wish we’d travelled back to stay here again the second night. Buses very easy right outside the hotel to get along to different destinations on the SW coast path too. High recommend."
