"I stayed for one night at Rowton Hall and had a lovely stay. The hotel itself is beautifully presented and the gardens were the icing on the cake! The room was comfortable and spacious with all the necessary amenities. The pool area is clean and has a lovely modern, spa feel. A great stay and will return!"

Chester is exactly beyond what I expected (been wanting to visit for a long while), great for shopping especially the Christmas markets. The best surprising bit is the history a lot focusing on Romans. I love buildings that have a Tudor appearance.

The shopping area in Chester has declined like many cities over the last 5 years. However Grosvenor Park and the river walks, including over the bridge to Handbridge are lovely. Park and Ride from Boughton Heath great value and a Zoo visit is a must.

Lovely city to visit, I really liked Huxley's on the wall, the very pretty wine bar Vin Santo and Mussels a-go-go. I was looking forward to a drink at The Boat house but we literally got thrown out as we didn't know there was a queue.

Chester is a beautiful city. It definitely holds a special place in both my partners and my hearts. From beautiful boat trips along the River Dee, to the restaurants and bars offering quality food and drink. We love the place.

We loved Chester and keep coming back, discovering more each time to add to our list! This time we discovered a wonderful walk out of town along by the canal, this was well worth the walk.

A nice, beautiful historic town. The Chester Zoo is a must-visit destination. Be sure to take a leisure walk along the River Dee and then a quick visit to the City Walls.

Beautiful city full of history but has been able to move with the times. The shopping centre cleverly hides the modern shops among the ornate old buildings.

Great place to visit, proper old market town with great roman history as well. Plus if you like horse racing it just a short wall from the town center.
